WWOZ New Orleans April 27, 2004
by Bob Putignano
On April 27, 2004, Bob Putignano co-hosted with DJ Marc Stone in New Orleans on WWOZ-FM.
Live guests included Deacon John, Roy Rogers and Pat Boyack of Marcia Ball's band.
A free form jam broke out in the midst of Jazz Fest, when Eric Lindell (not pictured) sat down at the keys
and put down a loose groove for guitar aces Roy Rogers, and Pat Boyack (whose new CD, "Voices from the Street"
features Marcia Ball & W.C. Clark).
WWOZ is free form radio at its loosest, a rarity on the radio dial. A great big thank you to DJ Marc Stone who allowed me
to bring in Roy Rogers & Pat Boyack (as well as Deacon John) to be a part of this wonderful experience.
Stay tuned as the co-hosting madness will continue, when Marc Stone comes to NY to be on my show
the "Sounds of Blue" on WFDU in mid May. Lets hope radio like this continues to
survive and thrive, which can only be with your support during the respective fund drive times for both WFDU and WWOZ.
